What is IDEA?
The Innovative Development and Education Association (IDEA) is an education association based in Adana, Türkiye, with Erasmus+ projects at the centre of its work. It supports groups coming to Türkiye and going to Europe with partner matching, organisation and on-site guidance, and takes part in international partnerships as a partner organisation.

From Adana to Europe
The map shows links from Adana to the capitals of the 33 countries fully taking part in Erasmus+: the 27 EU member states plus Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, North Macedonia, Serbia and Türkiye. The city for each mobility is chosen together, based on the field and its goals.

Why Adana
Adana is one of Türkiye’s most populous cities and the heart of the Çukurova region. Its strong agriculture, food and industrial base offers a wide range of companies for vocational placements.
The city is connected to Europe through Çukurova International Airport. The Stone Bridge, the Seyhan riverside and the historic bazaars are in the city itself; Tarsus, Mersin and the Mediterranean coast are within reach for short visits, and Cappadocia fits into a programme of a few days.
What is the full name of your association?
Our name is İnovatif Gelişim ve Eğitim Derneği, in English the Innovative Development and Education Association. Our short name is IDEA.
What does IDEA do?
IDEA matches Erasmus+ groups with suitable schools, companies and organisations and organises their accommodation, transfers, guidance and cultural programme. It is an education association based in Adana, Türkiye, and also takes part in international partnerships as a partner organisation.
Do you only work on Erasmus+ projects?
Mostly, yes: our main field is the Erasmus+ programme (KA1 and KA2). We also support training activities on themes such as social inclusion, digital skills, cultural heritage and the environment.
